Zia Nabavi

Zia Nabavi (born 21 December 1983) is an Iranian student activist. He is currently serving a sentence of ten years on charges of "creating unease in the public mind"
Nabavi studied engineering at Noshirvani University of Technology in Babol, where he served on its Central Council of the Islamic Association.In 2007, he was permanently banned from university study for his political activities. Along with other banned students, he formed the Council to Defend the Right to Education to defend their rights to continue attending university.

Brist på respekt för mänskliga rättigheter - fängelse, misshandel och godtycklig behandling. Så bemöter regimen i Iran fackligt aktiva.
Förutom trakasserier, avskedanden och fängelsestraff tvingas de fackliga aktivisterna att vid förhör hos de olika säkerhetsmyndigheterna eller i samband med häktningstillfällen vid domstolar att säga upp sitt medlemskap i de fria och obundna fackliga organisationerna.

Kvinnor i Iran, Fängslade Aktivister:

Enligt den senaste statistiken finns det mer än 70 kvinnor som har fängslats på grund av sina aktiviteter inom politik eller mänskliga rättigheter. De tillhör mest "Iranska kvinnorörelsen" samt etniska eller religiösa minoriteter.
Irans revolutionsdomstol har i de flesta fall dömt dem för ”propaganda mot systemet”, och "medlemskap i en kvinnogrupp”, vars syfte är att stötra landets säkerhet.

Human rights lawyer Mohammad Ali Dadkhah summonsed to serve a nine-year prison term

On April 28, 2012, Mr. Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, a human rights lawyer and founding member of the DHRC, was informed by Judge Salavati of Branch 15 of the Islamic Revolution Court, as the former was attempting to represent a political prisoner, that his nine-year imprisonment sentence and his 10-year ban on practising law and teaching had been upheld on appeal. In the past, he has defended many political and student activists and unionists as well as the Christian Pastor Mr. Yousef Nadarkhani, who has been sentenced to death on charge of apostasy.
